Gwyneth Paltrow Hasn’t Met ‘Iron Man 3′ Director Yet, Isn’t Sure If She’ll Return
Posted by jess • On February 28, 2011 • No Comments

At this point, we know very little about “Iron Man 3″ except that “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” director Shane Black will direct the film. Will we finally see Tony Stark go up against Mandarin? Have we seen the last of War Machine? These are the questions that bother us so around Splash Page HQ.

When MTV News managed to catch up with Pepper Potts herself, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, we made sure to ask her what she knows about the next chapter of the armored Avenger’s big-screen adventures. Apparently, she knows about as much we do…

“I haven’t met [Shane Black] yet, no,” Paltrow told MTV News.

“[Black is a] great writer,” she continued. “I’ll really miss Jon Favreau, but I’m sure Shane will be great.”

And while it’s no surprise that Paltrow hasn’t had a chance to meet with the recently announced “Iron Man 3″ director, the actress said she’s not even sure if she’ll be in the third film at this point.

“I don’t even know if I’m in it, so we’ll see,” she said.

Of course, before the rumors start flying, it’s worth noting that it’s very, very early in the “Iron Man 3″ development cycle at this point. With “Thor” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” arriving in theaters this year and “The Avengers” bringing the whole Marvel movie universe together in 2012, there’s still a lot of time — and plot points — between now and the next time Tony Stark goes solo on the big screen.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Dream Duet Partner: Jay-Z
Posted by jess • On February 28, 2011 • No Comments

Gwyneth Paltrow just came off of a show-stopping, onstage collaboration with Cee Lo Green at the Grammy Awards, but the actress says she already has someone in mind for her next musical duet: Jay-Z.

“I think we’d be a good combination,” Paltrow told Tim Gunn on the Oscars red carpet Sunday (Feb. 27). “He is a genius — and I’m his biggest fan.”

When Gunn asked Paltrow how her pick would make her husband — none other than Coldplay frontman Chris Martin — feel, she replied with a smile, “I think very happy.”

Paltrow is probably right, since Jay-Z and Martin are not only friends but also musical collaborators. The rocker is featured on the song “Beach Chair,” from Jigga’s 2006 album “Kingdom Come,” and last September he joined the Brooklyn MC at his co-headlinging Yankee stadium show with Eminem to perform “Blueprint 3″ track “Forever Young,” filling in for fellow U.K. singer Mr. Hudson.

Paltrow, who arrived at the Oscars in a stunning gold dress by Calvin Klein, is also a nominee and performer at tonight’s ceremony. The star will perform “Coming Home,” which is up for best original song and featured in her latest movie, “Country Strong.”

‘Glee’ Star Matthew Morrison and Gwyneth Paltrow to Cover Prince’s ‘Kiss’– Exclusive
Posted by jess • On February 14, 2011 • No Comments

Ever since ‘Glee‘ made its triumphant return on Super Bowl Sunday, fans new and old are wondering what the cast has up their sleeves next. Fortunately they don’t have to wait too long to find out. Matthew Morrison, who plays Mr. Schuester on the hit show, has spilled the beans on what’s to come during an all new episode, which airs on March 8.

According to Morrison, he tells AOL Music that both he and Gwyneth Paltrow will perform a duet of Prince’s classic ’80s hit ‘Kiss.’ Paltrow makes her return to the show and reprises her role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday. In the episode, the actress is on sub duty at McKinley High, filling in for an absent sex-ed instructor. Things are rumored to heat up during the show when Morrison and Paltrow’s characters share an embrace and, just like the song celebrates, kiss.

Besides Prince devotees having a field day over the song choice, the show itself is celebrating a victory considering the veteran performer very rarely licenses his music for television.
